Dear all,
I have just returned from India, where I lived truly special and unforgettable experiences with my colleagues, Giustino and Francesco. In that magical country, unique atmospheres prevail, there is life, there are ideas, science, medicine, harmony of taste, colors, and humanity.
We were in Bijapur, in the state of Karnataka, to officially inaugurate the DEKA ACADEMY in India, exporting to this crucial subcontinent all the experience already gained within the Academy held in Florence. In Bijapur, a Master will be held with our equipment, accessible to hundreds of dermatology students from the best schools in the nation.
We were welcomed by an important Minister, Dr. Patil, and the dignitaries of BLDE University, as well as the best dermatologists from all over India. The candle lighting ceremony was particularly moving, as was the visit to a temple in Hampi, where we were blessed by a sacred elephantess, who touched us with her trunk, embodying the Elephant God at that moment.
The vision demonstrated by our Indian colleagues, especially Somen, and their ability to put that vision into practice, has greatly influenced and enlightened us. Starting in 2024, we want to increasingly expand this type of initiative, hoping that in every continent at least one new DEKA Academy is formed. We wish to establish special and significant scientific programs through cross-fertilization of knowledge between our country and those countries where our academies will be born, following a well-established format.
All of this supports DEKA’s continuously growing global business.
Not to mention the arrival of new lasers with which we intend to flood the entire market. We will communicate more about them through a dedicated press release, launching it at IMCAS 2024 in Paris, and through theoretical-practical sessions delegated to my invaluable colleagues.
